The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Accountant to join our finance team on a fixed term
contract. This role is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, carrying out month-end and year-end closeprocesses, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements, and supporting key finance initiatives.The successful candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong technical accounting expertise and the abilityto work independently in a fast-paced environment.


This role is 6 months fixed-term in length, full time (40 hours a week). This opportunity is based in our fully renovated Auckland office. We have a hybrid arrangement of Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in office. Tuesdays and Thursdays are work from home.

What You'll Do

  • Carry out month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial statements.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Assist with external audits and liaise with auditors.
  • Support tax compliance requirements, including GST and corporate tax information.
  • Support Sage ERP Finance projects, system implementations, and other ad hoc initiatives as required.
  • Provide support across Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.

What You'll Bring

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ or equivalent).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • At least one year post-qualified experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS (experience with NZ IFRS and/or US GAAP is advantageous).
  • Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in a global, fast growing and dynamic organisation
