Area Sales Manager, Upper North Island

Are you a peoplefirst sales leader who drives performance, builds capability, and delivers results? We're looking for an Area Sales Manager to lead our Upper North Island grocery sales team and grow the presence of our highprofile products across the region. This is a chance to influence strategy, develop a large field team, and make a real impact.

About the Role

You will lead and support a team of Territory Managers, ensuring they are equipped, motivated, and empowered to deliver exceptional instore execution. This role suits someone who thrives in a fastpaced FMCG environment and enjoys developing talent while achieving strong commercial outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead, coach, and develop a highperforming team of Territory Managers
  • Deliver sales plans, financial targets, and execution standards for the UNI region
  • Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, promotional execution, and instore presence
  • Build strong relationships with store managers, owners, and key customer stakeholders
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Use data insights and tools (e.g., Power BI) to guide prioritisation and decisionmaking
  • Identify opportunities for growth, operational efficiency, and improved customer engagement

What You'll Bring

  • FMCG or grocery field sales leadership experience
  • Strong commercial judgement backed by disciplined planning and analysis
  • Skilled negotiator with the ability to influence and manage stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal capability
  • Highly organised, resilient, and detailfocused
  • Familiarity with sales execution tools, CRM systems, and Power BI
  • Experience analysing and reporting on sales data
