ABOUT FACILITIES MAINTAINANCE AT ROCKET LAB:

Rocket Lab's Mt Wellington facility is where innovation meets manufacturing, where rockets, satellites, and spacecraft components come to life. Our Facilities team ensures every manufacturing floor, test cell, and cleanroom operates flawlessly so engineers can focus on one thing: making space accessible. We need someone who's done this before. An experienced facilities leader ready to take full operational ownership of our Mt Wellington campus, managing critical infrastructure across 5+ industrial buildings while leading a team in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:

  • Keep mission-critical systems running: HVAC, electrical infrastructure, compressed air, specialized aerospace equipment
  • Coordinate precision equipment calibrations annually to aerospace standards
  • Drive maintenance, operations, and improvement projects that enable rocket manufacturing
  • Manage contractors, building compliance, and infrastructure projects

YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8+ years leading industrial facilities operations (aerospace/manufacturing/heavy industrial)
  • Managed multi-site industrial or campus-wide operations with full P&L accountability
  • Built and led maintenance teams in high-stakes environments
  • Aeronautical, aerospace, or precision manufacturing background
  • Trade-qualified (Mechanical/Electrical/Fitter & Turner) OR Building Maintenance qualification OR BCom with deep facilities experience

Do you stay composed when critical systems fail and thrive on solving unprecedented problems? Can you bridge trade, engineering, and finance, translating complex technical challenges into clear business solutions while inspiring teams toward operational excellence? Are you a leader with hard-won technical credibility, someone whose team respects them because they've done the work, earned the scars, and understand what it takes to keep aerospace facilities at launch-ready standards?

If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you.
