Excavator Operator
Job Description
Our client is a local contractor in Christchurch, with ongoing projects around the Christchurch CBD and subdivisions through Selwyn.
With a number of projects due to start in the next couple of weeks, we are looking for skilled and competent All -Rounders to operator a variety of machines, in particular digger operators, Civil Labourers and Class 4 Truck Driver with WTR.
Roles include:
All- Round Operator - Confident in a machine and working on a range of sites. Drainage experience is preferred.
Civil Class 4 Truck Driver with WTR - This role will include labouring when the job requires and operating a loader at times and moving other plant. Experience driving on civil sites required.
Civil Labourer - Experience working on civil or drainage sites. Ideally you will hold your WTR and / or a Class 2 licence to drive a small tipper. Other duties include plate compaction and being on a shovel, assisting drainlayers and other staff on sites.
These roles will be immediate starts for the successful candidates, with long term temp to perm opportunities.
Other role requirements include:
- Reliable and a team player
- Vehicle to get to and from sites
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
