Team Leader Hardware Department

Mitre 10 MEGA Taupo is a dynamic and growing business, with exciting plans to expand our retail space in 2025/26. We’re on the lookout for a skilled and motivated Team Leader to join our busy Hardware Department.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll drive team performance, deliver outstanding customer service, and ensure the department operates at a high standard every day.

About the Role

You’ll lead a team in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring a strong customer focus while maintaining operational excellence across stock, displays, and store presentation.

• Manage stock, displays, and point-of-sale while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization
\n
• Lead, train, and develop team members to enhance product knowledge and performance
\n
• Manage a busy and varied workload, prioritizing tasks and making timely decisions
\n
• Monitor inventory levels and adjust stock as required using internal systems
\n
• Provide guidance and solutions to resolve operational or customer service issues
\n
• Maintain a safe and respectful work environment, ensuring full compliance with health and safety requirements
\n
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, manual handling, and prolonged periods on your feet
\n

• Have proven experience in team leadership

• Bring strong sales and customer service skills
\n
• Have solid knowledge of hardware and power tools
\n
• Be adaptable, positive, and highly motivated

This is a full‑time position and includes one weekend day.
