Job Description
Senior Engineering Geologist – Transport
Based in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, you will lead engineering geology investigations and develop ground models for complex geological environments to help clients manage ground risk and support transport, water and infrastructure project delivery.
What you’ll do- Plan and lead complex ground investigations
- Interpret ground conditions and develop 3D models
- Provide ground engineering and ground risk advice
- Prepare technical reports and geotechnical assessments
- Support transport, water and infrastructure project delivery
- Mentor junior engineering geologists and field staff
- Coordinate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to proposals and wider project delivery activities
- Degree in Geology or Engineering Geology
- 8+ years’ experience within engineering geology consulting and a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Auckland
- Strong capability across investigations, interpretation and reporting
- Experience leading field programmes and mentoring others
- Experience with GIS, LeapFrog, Rocscience, gINT/OpenGround or similar
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Chartered status or working toward chartership
- NZ driver licence and strong HSE mindset
