Technical Lead

Stellar Recruitment is working with a specialist electrical design and manufacturing business based in Hawke’s Bay, looking to add a Technical Lead to their growing workforce.

This company deliver engineered switchboard solutions across a range of commercial and industrial applications and have built a strong reputation for technical quality and customer focus.

This role is open to both local and offshore, document ready applicants.

• Leading the technical design of switchboards ensuring functionality, safety, and compliance
• Reviewing project specifications, tender documentation, and developing accurate costings and proposals
• Preparing and reviewing design documentation, drawings, and schematics
• Providing technical oversight during manufacturing and installation phases
• Supporting the operations team in resolving technical queries and design challenges
• Liaising with suppliers and vendors to validate component selections and ensure compatibility
• Monitoring project milestones and ensuring design handovers to production are clear and accurate

• Strong technical background in LV/MV switchboard design and engineering
• Proven experience in quoting and estimating electrical or switchboard projects
• Solid understanding of AS/NZS standards and compliance requirements for switchgear
• Ability to translate customer requirements into viable technical solutionsExperience working across both design and delivery phases of a project
• Comfortable working in a small business environment where you wear multiple hats
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills

• $90,000 – $110,000 per annum
