On behalf of a well known kiwi brand, we are searching for an experiencedHead of Technologyto lead their IT operations, modernise infrastructure, and drive commercial growth. In this pivotal role, you will own the data, infrastructure, and emerging technology roadmaps, including new AI initiatives. You will keep systems secure and scalable while using new tools to improve user experiences and process efficiency. This position requires a strategic thinker who can execute projects on time and translate complex technical ideas into clear business terms for stakeholders.

The successful candidate will build a long-term digital roadmap aligned with business growth, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. You will manage a diverse IT team spanning support, core operational software, system operations, and business intelligence, while fostering a culture of high performance. Additionally, you will maintain secure, reliable, and highly available systems across multiple sites. This includes enforcing security policies, managing disaster recovery, and overseeing core business applications, software upgrades, and organisation-wide change management.

From a delivery standpoint, you will lead IT projects using structured frameworks to guarantee on-time and on-budget delivery. You will collaborate with senior leaders to prioritise projects and take full ownership of the IT budget. This financial oversight involves managing service providers, leading RFP processes, and negotiating vendor contracts with a strong focus on cost efficiency and ROI.

Our client is looking for someone with proven experience in a senior IT leadership role managing enterprise infrastructure, data, and critical business platforms. You must bring a strong track record in project delivery frameworks, budget management, and vendor negotiation. Excellent communication skills are essential to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Finally, a forward-thinking mindset with an interest or experience in leveraging AI and data analytics will be key to your success.
