Estimator - (Inter/Senior)

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join one of New Zealand’s most respected commercial construction businesses. An excellent opportunity within a high-performing Wellington team delivering significant commercial and vertical construction projects has become available.

• Prepare detailed estimates and cost plans for commercial construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Engage and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop pricing strategies and tender submissions.
• Identify project risks and opportunities.
• Work closely with project managers, commercial teams and senior leadership.
• Assist with value engineering and alternative construction methodologies.

• 5 years’ experience in estimating within the New Zealand construction market.
• Experience pricing commercial, education, healthcare, industrial or large-scale vertical construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and market rates.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar.

• Salary package of $140,000 - $160,000 depending on experience.
