Job Description

A busy construction business is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the successful delivery of industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects across the Auckland region.\n

With a strong forward workload, this role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of developments while being supported by a highly capable project delivery team.

\n

Working closely with Project Managers and key stakeholders, you will take responsibility for coordinating all on-site activities, driving programme outcomes, managing direct labour and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

\n

This position would suit a hands-on leader who enjoys taking ownership of site operations and has a proven ability to motivate teams.

\nKey Responsibilities:\n

  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day site operations
  • \n
  • Manage and supervise direct labour teams and subcontractors
  • \n
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with programme requirements
  • \n
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance, and quality
  • \n
  • Work closely with Project Managers to achieve project objectives
  • \n
  • Coordinate site logistics, resources, and construction sequencing
  • \n
  • Foster a positive and productive site culture
  • \n
\nMust haves:\n

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

    \n
  • A minimum of 5 years' Site Management experience with a New Zealand main contractor
  • \n
  • Demonstrated success delivering industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects
  • \n
  • Experience managing direct labour crews and large subcontractor teamsA carpentry trade or site engineer background
  • \n
  • Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills
  • \n
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to project delivery
  • \n
  • A strong commitment to health, safety, and quality outcomes
  • \n
  • Experience using Procore or similar construction management software would be advantageous
  • \n
