General Manager

Travelwise Holidays is looking for a builder‑leader to take a respected escorted travel business into its next, much bigger chapter. Yes, our customers are active, mature travellers, typically 60+, but our workplace is anything but old-fashioned.

We are a lively, energetic and ambitious team with a strong travel pedigree, a loyal customer base, and a clear plan to double the size and scale of the business within two to three years. This role is for someone who can bring commercial drive, team leadership, modern systems thinking and practical AI‑enabled productivity to help turn Travelwise into New Zealand’s standout escorted travel brand for active mature travellers.

This is a hands‑on growth leadership role for someone with the energy, judgement and commercial discipline to help build Travelwise into a significantly larger, more profitable and more cohesive business.

Our ambition is clear: Double the size and scale of the business within three years. Travelwise aims to operate 100+ tours and events per year, and be recognised as New Zealand’s most trusted escorted travel brand for active mature travellers.

A competitive senior leadership package will be offered, with a performance incentive and, for the right long‑term leader, a potential pathway to future participation in the business’s growth. Salary will be commensurate with the experience and the commercial track record you bring to the role.
