We are seeking a Strategic Business Partner to join us on a 12 month fixed-term or interagency secondment. This role is a member of two of ACC’s largest business group Leadership Teams and provides critical strategic people advice to support our Tier 2 and 3 leaders in executing our strategy and performance priorities.

As a trusted advisor and member of People and Culture’s extended Leadership Team, this role will build meaningful relationships and support the Executive to tackle challenges and opportunities across ACC with depth and curiosity. Portfolios may change as the environment evolves, therefore your ability to adapt is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional strategic advice to Deputy Chief Executives and their leadership teams.

Connect across our whole People & Culture business group, keeping our team informed and updated of the wider context and business priorities.

Bring rigour and candour to your partnership with the business, to ensure the greatest impact and problem resolution, while ensuring your portfolio embraces ACC’s values and behaviours.

Represent the voice of the customer within People and Culture and provide a perspective that informs leadership decision making.

Bring an integrated, enterprise approach to your portfolio, generating influential business insights and, ultimately, informed strategic decision making.

Collaborate with the other Business Partners across ACC to identify and proactively manage challenges based on strategic priorities.

Identify and pursue opportunities to increase value generation, customer satisfaction, and people experience.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in HR who has proven leadership, engagement, and partnership skills. You’ll have experience working within complex organisations and providing strategic advice on matters connected to people to senior leaders. This is not an operational role; it is important that you have the ability to identify the core drivers of value within a business, including offering challenge and thinking critically and strategically about broader business outcomes.

Coupled with the above will be your ability to connect strategy to action, collaborate with your peer group, and engage across the business to effectively influence business decisions. As a reliable sounding board and source of wisdom, you will be a truly trusted advisor to the leaders you support.

The appointing salary for this role will sit between $145,216 and $195,248 and we offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution.
