About the RoleWell‑established team of Consultant Dermatologists with a range of subspecialty experience. The role covers the Northern region, including several hospitals in the Auckland and Northland districts, requiring regular travel between hospitals. The service provides both outpatient and inpatient dermatology, and offers a full range of on‑site services, including Mohs micrographic surgery, patch testing and phototherapy.
Responsibilities- Inpatient and outpatient medical dermatology
- Participation in after‑hours on‑call service and dermatological research and quality assurance
- Teaching and supervision of trainee registrars and other junior medical staff
- Opportunities to develop a subspecialty service for suitable candidates
The position is based at Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai hospital, Auckland. The role will provide health and disability services to people living in the Auckland and Northland regions. Main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland.
