National Financial Reporting Manager

We’re looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to join our National Quality & Ethics team, based in Auckland CBD. This is a high‑impact role where you’ll support audit and advisory teams across New Zealand with technical accounting and financial reporting matters. You’ll play a key role in strengthening quality outcomes, providing guidance on complex issues, and helping build capability across the firm. You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy technical problem‑solving, sharing knowledge, and influencing outcomes at a national level.

• Provide expert advice on GAAP, NZ IFRS and PBE Standards
\n
• Support engagement teams with complex accounting treatments and reporting decisions
\n
• Review financial statements and disclosures for quality and compliance
\n
• Develop and maintain model financial statements, templates, and technical resources
\n
• Deliver training and guidance to uplift capability across the network
\n
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality & Ethics team
\n
• Build strong relationships across teams, acting as a trusted technical partner
\n

• Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards (NZ IFRS, PBE, GAAP)
\n
• Experience at Manager level in audit, or within a technical accounting/reporting role
\n
• Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, practical advice
\n
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
\n
• High attention to detail with sound judgement and decision‑making
\n
• A collaborative, values‑led approach with a focus on quality and integrity
\n
• CA qualified (or equivalent)
