- Mid North – Permanent (primary location to be confirmed) \n
- The Mid North role will operate across multiple service centres, including Kaikohe, Kerikeri and Kawakawa. Final site allocation will be discussed and confirmed at interview stage. \n
This is a relationship-led role focused on the Northland labour market.
\nAs a Work Broker, you partner with employers to understand workforce needs, influence hiring decisions, and connect businesses with people ready to work. This is a front-facing role, with most time spent engaging employers, building networks, and working across the region. You will operate in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift, and collaboration across teams is essential.
\nWhy this role exists:\nCreate employment opportunities for people who need a chance. You will work alongside Case Managers and employment teams to place people into sustainable employment while building trusted employer partnerships across Northland.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers across the region \n
- Understand workforce needs and identify hiring opportunities \n
- Promote MSD employment initiatives and services \n
- Develop ongoing hiring pipelines and future opportunities \n
- Travel across Northland to meet employers and attend events \n
- \n
- Promote vacancies and connect employers with suitable candidates \n
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention \n
- Advocate for candidates and promote their strengths \n
- Work closely with Case Managers to achieve sustainable placements \n
- \n
- Contribute to regional employment programmes and initiatives \n
- Share labour market insights across teams \n
- Maintain accurate records and manage multiple workstreams \n
- Experience working with employers, clients, or stakeholders to achieve outcomes \n
- Confidence building relationships and identifying opportunities \n
- Comfortable with proactive outreach and engagement \n
- Strong organisation and ability to manage competing priorities \n
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment \n
- Motivation to support employment outcomes for whānau \n
- Full NZ Driver Licence \n
Starting salary dependent on relevant skills, experience, and knowledge.
