Software Engineers

We’re looking for two Software Engineers to join the Plexure team based in Auckland CBD - one Intermediate and one Intermediate or Senior-level Engineer. \nWhat will you do?\n

\n
• Reporting to an Engineering Team Lead, you’ll contribute to the design, development, and testing of innovative backend solutions:\n
  \n
  • Contribute to design discussions that shape reliable, scalable systems.
  \n
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems for performance and reliability.
  \n
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to streamline deployments.
  \n
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  \n
  • Help with monitoring, respond to alerts, and support stabilisation as new features go live.
  \n
  • Work in an AI-enabled engineering environment, using AI tools to help define specifications, accelerate development, validate code, improve workflows, and support high-quality engineering outcomes.

\nYour team\n

You’ll join one of our backend engineering squads:

\nPersonalized Content & Integrations (Intermediate)\n

This squad empowers brands to deliver tailored customer experiences and seamless, extensible integrations between brands and Plexure.

\n

Projects:

\n

\n
• The initial focus will be on platform health & engineering improvements, including performance optimisation, modernising infrastructure pipelines, increasing automated test coverage, resolving technical debt and improving delivery quality and reliability.
\n
• There’ll also be opportunities to contribute to loyalty program initiatives and some frontend development for our customer portals.
\n

\nIdentity (Intermediate or Senior)\n

This squad focuses on building and strengthening Plexure’s identity and authentication platform, including authentication, authorisation, fraud detection, and broader platform security.

\n

Projects:

\n

\n
• The initial focus will be on building a new highly available Identity Provider (IDP) platform from the ground up, covering authentication, authorisation, login flows, and identity management.
\n
• There’ll also be opportunities to contribute to related security and platform initiatives, including security hardening, fraud detection, third‑party security integrations, and cloud-native infrastructure improvements.
\n

\nWhat are we looking for?\n

\n
• A passion for back-end development.
\n
• Experience with C#, .NET.
\n
• Exposure to cloud-based environments (infrastructure or CI/CD experience would be a plus!).
\n
• Practical experience using AI development tools.
\n
• Someone curious who enjoys working collaboratively and tackling challenges as part of a team.
\n
• Motivation to continue learning and developing your skillset.
\n
