Talent Acquisition Business Partner

Downer Energy & Utilities is seeking a talented TA Business Partner to help build the workforce of the future. The role is based in Wiri, Auckland and is positioned at the heart of our blue‑collar talent team, partnering with leaders across critical infrastructure portfolios.

• Own end‑to‑end recruitment, supported by a dedicated coordinator
• Build future‑focused talent pipelines across trades and technical roles
• Strategic sourcing, exploring beyond conventional channels
• Deliver an outstanding candidate experience
• Drive pace, quality, and compliance without compromise

• 35+ years of recruitment experience (trades, utilities or infrastructure a bonus)
• Strong interpersonal skills with confidence to influence, guide and challenge
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with strong problem‑solving ability
• Experience using sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK) and ATS platform Oracle Cloud (beneficial)
• Confidence working across multiple roles and maintaining momentum
• Knowledge of NewZealand employment and immigration legislation
• Competence in technology, including Microsoft and AI tools
• A commitment to Te AoMori and cultural competence
• Passion for delivering a great candidate experience
