\nWe have an exciting and significant pipeline of work signed up, both short term and over next few years, for local, regional, and national clients. This work includes water/wastewater treatment plants, water supply and storage, pump stations, gravity and pressure conveyance pipelines, condition inspections, industrial plant upgrades, and 3W site serving for land development.

\nYou will be working with a large, nurturing, and diverse team, that’s ranges from recent graduates to senior principals that are experts in their field. There are currently approximately 50 staff in the Dunedin water team and 70 staff in the Dunedin office.
\nKey aspects of the role\n- \n
Lead on assigned projects to deliver the agreed outputs on budget, on time and to quality standards
\nDetermine client requirements, conduct and manage site surveys and investigations, produce calculations, cost estimates, specifications and drawings to ensure that technical designs provide quality solutions
\nOrganise tender documents, evaluate tenders and contracts.
\nDevelop and mentor junior staff
\nLiaise continually with our clients to ensure that their expectations are met and that any concerns are heard and addressed appropriately
\nClearly understand the objectives of new and existing clients in order to undertake effective business development and identification of opportunities for Stantec.
\nProduce quality project outputs, ensuring scope changes are closely monitored and design work is adequately resourced, reviewed and programmed.

You will be an experienced Civil Engineer with experience in general civil engineering projects, especially Water infrastructure. You have a passion for quality and timely project delivery, developing technical skills and growing your commercial understanding at a global consulting firm.
\nAttributes that will help you succeed in the role\n- \n
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
\n10 years relevant experience desirable, preferably in water infrastructure
\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
\nGreat time management and prioritization skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
