Procurement Category Manager
Job Description
Be responsible for supporting the Head of Planning and Procurement with acquisition and management of third-party goods and services across ANZCO's supply chain, focusing on cost minimisation and value optimisation. This fulltime permanent position is part of our high performing Procurement team where you will report to our Head of Procurement and Planning, based at our Corporate Office in Christchurch.
\nWorking closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers, you will lead sourcing activities, manage supplier relationships, and identify opportunities to improve procurement outcomes. You'll bring proven procurement or supply chain experience, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to build effective relationships across the business.
\nThis will see you succeed in being ANZCO's subject matter expert for procurement and contract management across the group.
\nKey Duties will include but won't be limited to:\n- \n
- Actively manage procurement programmes based on agreed targets, in relation to ANZCO's network of third-party goods and services providers including developing long term category management strategies. \n
- Managing procurement systems (tender, RFP, single stage/multistage), including developing all documentation. \n
- Assist in the preparation of key criteria for vendor selection with internal current users purchased including 'must haves' and 'wish to haves' benefits. \n
- Manage existing supply chain and group supply contracts as assigned by the Head of Planning and Procurement. \n
- Engage with key stakeholders to ensure suppliers adhere to key KPIs and deliver value to the ANZCO group. \n
- Develop reporting to monitor spend, inventory levels and other key indicators. \n
- Identify, analyse and implement solutions to streamline ANZCO's supply chain and group procurement processes. \n

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related discipline, with at least five years' experience in procurement or commercial roles, preferably within a multi-site global manufacturing or export environment. \n
- Demonstrated expertise in supplier management, commercial negotiation, cost optimisation, continuous improvement, and managing diverse spend categories. \n
- Sound commercial and legal knowledge. \n
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic business objectives. \n
- Proven ability to work autonomously while engaging effectively with internal stakeholders to deliver business value. \n
