Senior Mechanical Engineer (building services)

We are working with a dynamic consultancy based in Christchurch seeking to recruit for the role of Senior Mechanical / Hydraulics Engineer. This is a newly created role due to market demand across the South Island. With the strength of the Canterbury and wider South Island economy now is the time to make the move.

• Design of HVAC and hydraulics services projects for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
• Oversee and support installation, commissioning, and project delivery
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, architects, and project managers to ensure project objectives are met

• Has 8 years of design experience in mechanical engineering (HVAC building services) and a strong understanding of the New Zealand Building Code and relevant HVAC & hydraulic standards
• Ideally be a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or actively pursuing
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier HAP, and Microsoft Office Suite
