Waikato Hospital – Permanent, Full-time (80 hours per fortnight).
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Abdominal/Pelvic Radiologist to join our Radiology department at Waikato Hospital. Day‑to‑day duties include interpreting and reporting imaging studies such as CT, Ultrasound, X‑ray, and MRI. You will report a broad mix of complex clinical cases within your area of expertise, including hepatobiliary/pancreas, urology, gynaecology, and gastrointestinal diseases, as well as general radiology and acute imaging. You will also participate in multidisciplinary meetings, teach registrars, and contribute to the continual development of high standards within the department.
Key Responsibilities- Reporting radiologic studies.
- Supervising and teaching registrars.
- Participation in oncology multidisciplinary meetings.
Waikato Hospital is a tertiary training hospital with a Level 1 Trauma Centre serving the entire Waikato region and processes approximately 200 000 examinations each year, with a major focus on emergency, trauma imaging and oncology. About You- Experience in abdominal radiology.
- Experience in CT colonography.
- Experience in male and female pelvic MRI/OG imaging preferred.
- Eligibility for registration in the vocational scope of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- Subspecialty fellowship or interest in body imaging preferred.
