The Principal Advisor, Investments role offers the opportunity to contribute to the assessment, execution, and management of investment activity across a portfolio of funds focused on M ori economic development and housing. You will analyse investment proposals, support robust decision‑making processes, and help strengthen investment processes in line with best practice. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will play a key role in monitoring performance, contributing to reporting on fund management and delivery, and ensuring investments deliver intended outcomes. Responsibilities Analyse investment proposals and business cases using financial and operational data. Support robust decision‑making processes and strengthen investment processes. Monitor performance of investment portfolio and contribute to reporting on fund management and outcomes. Ensure investment activities align with best practice and organisational priorities. Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues on investment matters. Qualifications Strong analytical skills and sound judgement, with the ability to assess the balance of risk and opportunity. Experience evaluating investment proposals and business cases. Clear and effective written communication skills. Experience delivering government grants or other relevant investment experience is advantageous. Comfortable working in a te ao M ori environment, with a high level of understanding of the machinery of Government, public service and public sector processes. Understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti o Waitangi and recognition of its importance from both M ori and Crown perspectives.
