As the Wellington team continues to grow, they are searching for an Associate Director who not only excels in project leadership but also brings the ambition, commercial mindset, and long‑term vision of a future Director.

\nAbout the Role\n

As Associate Director, you will play a key leadership role within the consultancy, supporting the delivery of complex projects while shaping team capability and contributing to business growth. You will:

  • Lead complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring high‑quality delivery
  • \n
  • Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor
  • \n
  • Support business development through identifying opportunities and contributing to proposals
  • \n
  • Mentor and develop project teams to build capability and performance
  • \n
  • Collaborate across the consultancy to drive consistency, quality, and innovation
  • \n
\nKey Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Leading the delivery of commercial and infrastructure projects
  • \n
  • Managing stakeholder engagement at senior levels
  • \n
  • Overseeing procurement, contract administration, and project governance
  • \n
  • Monitoring budgets, risk, and programme performance
  • \n
  • Providing leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to project teams
  • \n
  • Contributing to strategic planning and regional growth initiatives
  • \n
\nAbout You\n

You will bring:

    \n
  • A tertiary qualification in construction, engineering, architecture, or a related field
  • \n
  • 15 - 20 years experience delivering projects within the vertical construction or infrastructure sectors
  • \n
  • Strong consultancy or client‑side project management experience
  • \n
  • Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments
  • \n
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and a passion for developing others
  • \n
  • Excellent communication, commercial awareness, and problem‑solving skills
  • \n
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under pressure
  • \n
