Senior/Principal Engineers – Transport Design\n
\n#J-18808-LjbffrSupport and provide technical leadership within the Transportation Design team to complete civil engineering-based projects with the aim of providing cost effective outcomes to our clients.
\nAchieve successful project outcomes in line with our strategic priorities to ‘deliver high performing projects’ and ‘delighting our clients’ through the provision of professional consulting services.
\nTo take responsibility for the technical content and delivery of strategic transport projects utilizing OpenRail, OpenRoads, 12D or Civil3D and Infraworks as a design tool.
\nResponsibilities\n- \n
- Produce designs and models (using Autodesk software packages) and drawings for a wide range of civil infrastructure projects. \n
- Develop and maintain expertise and knowledge over a wide range of work areas with focus on civil infrastructure. \n
- Lead and contribute to the continued development and improvement of Civil3d, Infraworks, Navisworks, CAD standards, drawing and BIM processes within the Civil Infrastructure service line. \n
- Undertake civil design tasks for engineering works. \n
- Prepare estimates and schedules of quantities for projects. \n
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, tender documents, and requests for tender. \n
- Undertake construction management and supervision. \n
- Provide technical input into the planning of projects and assisting others to correctly scope out projects, ensuring they have appropriate inputs and outputs and verification activities. \n
- Undertake verification activities and participate in the technical reviews of projects. \n
- Ensure that all work undertaken is in accordance with appropriate professional and technical standards and practices together with effective Quality Assurance. \n
- Perform Project Management duties and responsibilities in accordance with ‘Our Way’. \n
- Assist with the development of project briefs and estimation of fees when required. \n
- Prepare and regularly update project plans. \n
- Provide input into project teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality. Ensure projects achieve the planned profit. \n
- Actively seek feedback from clients and project teams reflecting on the performance of the team and apply knowledge learning principles. \n
- Regularly communicate with the client to ensure their expectations are met. \n
- Assist project team members to reflect on their performance and apply knowledge learning principles. \n
- \n
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent. \n
- Minimum of 8 years’ professional experience in a related discipline. \n
- Chartered Professional membership EngNZ or working towards. \n
- Proven experience in market winning work and delivering projects. \n
