\nJob Description\nWe have an immediate, high-priority contract requirement for a seasoned Solution Architect to partner with a key client in Hamilton. The client has a substantial backlog of projects and enhancements currently on hold that require urgent review, shaping, and sizing.
\nThis is a pure architecture and strategy role, not a hands‑on tech‑lead position. The ideal candidate will bring a mature, steady presence to the environment, possessing the experience to confidently untangle ambiguity, map out the big picture, and determine the best path forward for a stalled portfolio.
\nKey Responsibilities\n- \n
- Portfolio Revival: Review a backlog of on‑hold software and infrastructure initiatives, assessing their feasibility and sizing. \n
- Conceptual Design: Produce clear, high‑level end‑to‑end solution diagrams to define what is needed without getting bogged down in low‑level code. \n
- Information Gathering: Proactively and tenaciously navigate the organization to find and collaborate with the right subject matter experts. \n
- Strategic Alignment: Translate complex business requirements into structured technical options, clearly highlighting trade‑offs for stakeholders. \n
- \n
- Architecture Focused: Operate comfortably at the conceptual macro‑level, focusing on enterprise solutions rather than acting as a hands‑on developer or tech lead. \n
- Seasoned Persona: Possess a cool, calm, and collected demeanor that instantly commands respect and demonstrates deep IT industry experience. \n
- Tenacious Problem Solver: Do not wait for information to come to you; driven to hunt down the right people to get the job done. \n
- Broad Capability: Proven experience identifying and sizing solutions across both software and infrastructure domains. \n
