Psychiatrist

We are seeking Consultant Psychiatrists to join our Adult General Mental Health Services in Christchurch. We welcome applications from psychiatrists seeking full‑time (preferred) or part‑time permanent positions.

• Work as part of an integrated Adult General Service, providing specialist psychiatric input across crisis, inpatient and community settings.
• Manage a varied and stimulating caseload and contribute to assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing care for whānau and individuals with acute and complex mental health needs.
• Play a clinical leadership role, contribute to service development and support the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred care.

• Fellowship with the RANZCP or equivalent qualification.
• Eligibility for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
• Proven experience in Adult Mental Health (inpatient, outpatient, crisis, AOD and/or rehabilitation settings).
• Strong clinical leadership skills and a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach.
• A commitment to equitable, culturally responsive and patient‑centred care.
