\n#J-18808-LjbffrPermanent full‑time (80 hours a fortnight) with no on‑call or weekend duties.
Responsibilities- Deliver high‑quality diagnostic imaging services across general radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI with angiography, and interventional radiology as required.
- Participate in service development and support junior medical staff.
Nelson Marlborough provides radiology services across Nelson and Wairau Hospitals, supporting a population of approximately 150,000 people.
The department is equipped with two CT scanners, a 1.5T MRI, modern ultrasound and fluoroscopy units, and fully digital PACS and RIS systems.
It is a highly collegial environment with close collaboration between radiologists, medical imaging technologists, and other healthcare professionals, playing a key role in both acute and elective care.
Qualifications- Hold Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists, or equivalent.
- Have postgraduate fellowship training (preferred).
- Be eligible for an Annual Practising Certificate with a vocational scope of Radiology with the Medical Council of NewZealand.
- Bring medical expertise and unique skill set to an acute secondary care hospital and contribute to advanced care of acute patients in the region.
- Ability to work independently as a specialist in a provincial district.
- Work with others to promote a cohesive team culture of collaborative practice, openness, humour, and respect across disciplines.
