As a leader of leaders, you will provide guidance; taking the lead on performance and disciplinary matters within custodial units while also driving custodial practice and developing a collaborative and high performing team.Mōu | About youBy providing visible and authentic leadership, you will bring the courage, passion, and determination needed to deliver high‐quality outcomes. We are seeking a forward‐thinking leader of leaders—someone who can guide and inspire our people through change while fostering a positive, inclusive, and high‐performing organisational culture.In addition to the above, we would like to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following: Demonstrate capability in supporting senior leaders through effective business planning, staff development, consultation, communication, and relationship‐building, ensuring strong leadership and operational performance. Strong awareness of the factors that influence rehabilitation outcomes, supported by a sound understanding of the roles and responsibilities of key stakeholders across the government and non‐government social and justice sectors. A clear commitment to advancing the goals of Hōkai Rangi, including efforts to reduce the over‐representation of Māori within the Corrections system. The ability to recognise, value, and appropriately respond to diverse cultural perspectives, with particular strength in understanding and applying principles of te ao Māori. Dedication to developing and empowering staff, enhancing performance, driving culture change, and strengthening leadership capability across the organisation. Proven ability to build and sustain productive relationships with external partners and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with their strategic goals, pressures, and priorities. Relationship management will be central to your success, as this role requires extensive engagement with community partners, agencies, and stakeholders to support meaningful collaboration and outcomes.
