Area Manager – Mobile Lending South Auckland

Permanent, full‑time position based in SouthAuckland. This high‑impact leadership role will lead a team of Mobile Lending Managers to deliver exceptional customer outcomes while growing our home lending and small business portfolio.

About the role

As the face of Westpac Mobile Lending in SouthAuckland, you will guide and coach a geographically distributed team, partner with Branch, Business Banking and community networks to build a strong pipeline, and ensure a community‑connected, high‑performing culture.

Responsibilities
  • Build a high‑performance, customer‑centric culture across a geographically distributed team.
  • Drive acquisition growth across home lending and small business portfolios through local strategies and partnerships.
  • Partner across Branch, Business Banking and community networks to build a strong and sustainable pipeline.
  • Lead your team to deliver exceptional, advice‑led customer outcomes across all channels.
  • Champion the Mobile Lending proposition – meeting customers where and when it suits them.
  • Support capability uplift, engagement and succession planning across your team.
  • Identify new market opportunities and drive expansion aligned to national strategy.
  • Embed strong risk, compliance and conduct practices across your team.
  • Drive continuous improvement in performance, processes and customer experience.
Qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience, ideally with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong background in home lending with understanding of credit, risk and customer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive growth through networks, partnerships and community presence.
  • Exceptional coaching capability with a track record of lifting performance and capability.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to translate strategy into outcomes.
  • Confidence in building relationships and influencing across stakeholders and networks.
