# Consultant Breast Radiologist at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau, Northland## Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role* **Whangarei, Northland, New Zealand*** Permanent part-time position 0.5FTEHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleYou will be part of a passionate and innovative multi-disciplinary breast service team in a purpose-built clinic supported by surgeon's, specialist breast care nurses, medical imaging technologists' sonographers, community and administrative teams.The role could include both symptomatic and screening breast work and can include General radiology (another subspecialty may also be considered).The purpose-built breast centre is well equipped with two Digital Mammography units including tomosynthesis and tomosynthesis biopsy and ultrasound. Services include multi-modality reporting & intervention including Digital Mammography with Tomosynthesis, Vacuum Assisted Biopsy, Ultrasound & Stereotactic biopsy Hook wire localisation & clip placement, triple assessment and weekly MDT meetings.Click here to view the position description.About the LocationAs well as a warm climate, the "winterless north" offers excellent schools; affordable housing and scenic coastal areas offering a range of recreational activities.
