Overview

Location: Hutt Hospital.

Service: Breast Screening and Symptomatic Breast Services.

Contract: Permanent, part time – 0.6 FTE (other part‑time roles within Radiology teams can be combined to make full‑time employment).

Salary: As per ASMS.

Role Description

As our new Radiologist you will provide consultant breast radiology services, facilitating high‑quality radiological services to the clinical specialities of Breast Screening Central and symptomatic breast services. This includes an advisory and diagnostic service in all matters relating to radiological breast examinations, including determination of appropriate procedures, performing invasive diagnostic procedures, equipment evaluation, quality control, interpretation and advice and support to staff within Breast Screening and Symptomatic Breast Services.

Team / Service / Location

The Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley district is located centrally in Wellington and has over 6,000 full‑time equivalent staff, making us one of the major employers in the Wellington region. We operate three hospitals – Wellington Regional Hospital in Newtown, Hutt Valley Hospital and Kenepuru Hospital in Porirua – as well as the Kāpiti Health Centre at Paraparaumu.

About You
  • Vocationally registered in Radiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) (FRANZCR or equivalent qualification).
  • Ability to register for vocational registration with the MCNZ.
  • Experience working in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to provide consistently high standards of medical care.
  • Relevant experience and training.
