\nYour Role:\nAs a Senior Software Engineer in our Testing stream, you'll play a key role in building and evolving the technology products that support LIC's Genetics, Testing and Farm Software value streams.
\nReporting to the Technical Lead, you'll take ownership of end‑to‑end technical delivery—from solution design through to implementation, quality and operational performance. You'll work closely with engineers, product teams and domain experts to deliver scalable, reliable solutions while influencing technical direction, engineering practices and continuous improvement across the team.

Lead the design, development and delivery of high‑quality software solutions.
\nMentor and support Software Engineers, promoting engineering excellence and best practice.
\nChampion modern Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices and continuous improvement.
\nEmbed security, privacy, compliance and risk management into every stage of delivery.
\nDrive performance, reliability and scalability across products and systems.
\nSupport the responsible adoption of AI‑enabled development practices.
\nApply product and domain knowledge to make informed technical decisions.
\nContribute to architecture and design decisions that support long‑term technology strategy.
\nStay ahead of emerging technologies, trends and industry best practice.
\nProvide technical leadership on key initiatives and projects when required.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
\nSignificant experience as a Software Engineer in a complex enterprise environment.
\nStrong knowledge of modern software development practices, tools and technologies.
\nProven experience designing, building and supporting secure, reliable applications in production environments.
\nAbility to translate business needs into practical, scalable technical solutions.
\nStrong systems‑thinking skills, with an understanding of integration, dependencies and operational impacts.
\nExcellent problem‑solving skills and sound technical judgement.
\nSelf‑motivated, organised and able to influence outcomes across teams.
\nProven ability to deliver high‑quality work in a fast‑paced environment.
\nStrong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
\nExperience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Elixir, or knowledge of LIC products, systems and the dairy industry would be an added advantage.
