Senior Manager Tax (6-Month Fixed Term Contract)

We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our tax team on a 6‑month fixed term contract, covering an internal secondment. The role reports to the Head of Tax and offers exposure to both tax advisory and compliance within a large, complex financial services environment.

• Provide commercial, technically sound tax advice across business activities and transactions.
• Monitor and advise on tax law changes and their impact.
• Ensure compliance with tax obligations and contribute to tax risk management.
• Deliver accurate tax reporting and returns across the Group.
• Engage with Inland Revenue and resolve queries or areas of uncertainty.
• Support junior team members and contribute to overall team capability.

• Chartered Accountant / CPA or qualified lawyer.
• Significant tax experience (ideally 10+ years) within Big 4, legal or corporate environments.
• Strong knowledge of NZ tax, preferably with financial services exposure.
• Pragmatic, commercial advice in complex environments.
• Experience engaging with tax authorities and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Collaborative approach with strong communication and influencing skills.
