We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist for permanent full-time work within the Child & Adolescent services in South Auckland.

This service provides specialist mental health services for children and adolescents between the ages of birth and 18 years (inclusive), who have moderate-to-severe mental health conditions. You would be joining a multidisciplinary team that works collaboratively with other community agencies to provide holistic and appropriate services to the patients.

The successful applicant will bring previous experience and knowledge in Child & Adolescent services, that will contribute to advanced care of youth in the community. The service is seeking a clinician with strong clinical competencies, with excellent communication and decision-making skills.

• You must have or be eligible for specialist registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in a vocational and/or locum tenens Psychiatry scope of practice, with no restrictions to your APC.
\n
• Ideally you will have obtained FRANZCP or near completion.
\n
• Experience within the community based Mental Health Service
\n
• Must be legally able to work in New Zealand
