\nThe Sports Director will oversee all aspects of sport andphysical recreation at Avonside, ensuring that opportunities are inclusive,high‑quality, safe, and engaging for every student. The role blendsstrategic leadership with hands‑on coordination, working closely with coaches,staff, students, whānau, and community partners.
\nYou will lead a programme that reflects our vision forsport: empowering students to grow, participate, compete, and shine.

- Growingstudent participation \n
- Studentengagement through targeted initiatives, lunchtime sport, and majorschool events \n
- Communitypartnerships with clubs, regional sports organisations, and sponsors \n
- Promotionand publicity of sport within the school and wider community \n
- Health,safety, and wellbeing through RAMS processes, equipment management,and fair play principles \n

- Arelevant qualification in sport management, sport coaching, physicaleducation, or a related field \n
- Provenexperience in sports administration, programme coordination, or sportleadership \n
- Strongorganisational and communication skills \n
- Abilityto build positive relationships with students, staff, whānau, andcommunity organisations \n
- Acommitment to fostering participation, excellence, and enjoyment in sport \n
