This is a brilliant opportunity to provide care closer to where people live.Cancer and Blood services are provided across two sites at Te Tai Tokerau Whangārei based Jim Carney Centre (where the roles will be predominantly based) and additional clinics at Bay of Islands hospital in Kawakawa. Our service is growing due to newly funded medicines, and these roles will support expanded services and provision of care to additional rural centres.Click here to view the position description.About the LocationWhangārei Hospital is the largest hospital in Te Tai Tokerau providing secondary care services, supported by three regional/rural hospitals in Kaitaia, Kawakawa and Dargaville. The Cancer and Blood department provides a comprehensive Oncology outpatient service across Te Tai Tokerau.
Whilst pre-dominantly based at the Whangārei Hospital, you will have frequent opportunities to travel and work in the rural areas of Northland.As well as a warm climate, the "winterless north" offers excellent schools; affordable housing and scenic coastal areas offering a range of recreational activities.
