The Head of Fund Distribution will play a pivotal role in positioning Snowball as the one-stop platform for investors seeking to build world-class investment portfolios.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this is a senior role responsible for growing Snowball\'s managed funds business both by expanding our investor base and funds under administration, and by supporting the development of partnerships that unlock new pools of capital.

Operating within a small, high-performing team, you\'ll balance hands-on execution with input into how our offering evolves, including our approach to wealth channels, product development, and portfolio management tools.

This is a broad mandate suited to someone who is equally comfortable building a pipeline of wholesale and retail investors, sitting across the table from a fund manager or adviser group, and contributing to the commercial direction of a growing platform business.

Distribution and investor growth

Driving growth across Snowball\'s managed funds offering through new investor acquisition and deeper engagement with existing investors. This includes developing and nurturing relationships with wholesale, institutional, and retail investors, leading capital raise activity across the fund range, and executing investor education and engagement initiatives such as investor updates, marketing, webinars, and events. You\'ll be expected to actively prospect, network, and build the pipeline. This is a self-starter role where outbound effort drives outcomes.

Strategic partnerships and wealth channel development

Supporting the execution of Snowball\'s strategy to expand access to larger pools of wealth capital, including through financial advisers, wealth managers, family offices, and other intermediated channels. While the broader strategy is in place, you\'ll play a central role in bringing it to life by building relationships with key players in the wealth management ecosystem, identifying tactical opportunities, and feeding market insight back into the strategic conversation.

Product, platform, and strategic input

Contributing to the development of our managed funds offering and broader platform. This includes input into new fund onboarding and product expansion, feedback into the self-directed investor experience, and collaboration on initiatives to enhance investor tools, portfolio construction capabilities, and the future of digital investing. You\'ll also represent Snowball at industry events, investor forums, and networking opportunities, and support adherence to our regulatory and compliance standards.

Experience

Ideally 10+ years of relevant experience in managed funds, fund distribution, wealth management, or a closely related part of the financial services industry. We\'ll also consider strong candidates with less than 10 years of experience who can demonstrate the maturity, network, and commercial instincts to operate at this level.

A meaningful portion of that experience should sit in distribution, investor relations, business development, or wealth channel-facing roles. Experience with alternative asset classes such as private equity, private credit, hedge funds, infrastructure, and real estate would be valuable, as would experience with product development at a strategic or input level.

Familiarity with the New Zealand wealth management market and its key players is preferred. Offshore experience in comparable markets is also valued, and a combination of the two is ideal.

You\'ll be a confident networker and relationship-builder who is genuinely comfortable with cold outreach and proactive business development. You\'ll bring strong commercial judgement, work autonomously against defined objectives, and operate effectively in a small team where everyone wears multiple hats. You\'ll equally be capable of executing on the day-to-day and contributing meaningfully to broader commercial conversations.

A working knowledge of the regulatory environment for managed funds in New Zealand is expected, and an interest in the evolution of digital wealth platforms would fit well with where we\'re heading.
