The Manager, Complex Licensing is a key leadership role within the Gambling Group Operations team, leading a highly specialised function responsible for Class 4 gambling licensing.

\n

You’ll provide strategic and operational leadership to a team of regulatory specialists and forensic accountants, fostering a high‑performing, risk‑focused culture. The role holds delegated authority for complex, high‑profile licensing decisions with significant legal and reputational impact.

\n

You’ll build trusted relationships with stakeholders at executive and board level, while working across the organisation to strengthen regulatory practice and financial analysis capability. The role also contributes to lifting sector performance through clear guidance and proactive engagement.

\n

This position is open to candidates in Auckland and Wellington.

  • Proven experience leading strategic and operational outcomes in a complex regulatory environment

  • Ability to lead and develop high‑performing, specialised teams
  • \n
  • Strong judgement and confidence making decisions in high‑risk, complex or high‑profile situations
  • \n
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory frameworks, with experience in financial compliance, audit or accounting
  • \n
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
  • \n
  • Strong delivery focus, with a track record of achieving high‑quality, timely results and driving continuous improvement

The appointing range for this role is $137,963 - $171,688.

\n
