Wellington Exempted Village Schools (Lorain County) seeks a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our coaching staff as our Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach and leader of the Girls Basketball Program. This position will have the ability to hire a Varsity Assistant, JV Coach (dependant on numbers), and influence on the Middle School Coaching staff selection.

\nEssential Qualifications\n

• Valid or pending Ohio Pupil Activity Permit
\n
• Successful previous coaching at the high school level
\n

\nPreferred Qualifications\n

\n
• Extensive knowledge of the game of basketball
\n
• Ability to align youth organizations with the high school program
\n
• Teaching experience
\n
• Experience with collaboration between boosters and community members
\n

\nPosition Start Date and Compensation Details\n

\n
• Position starts at the beginning of the 2026-27 school year, but summer programming and preseason workouts are expected.
\n
• Compensation is based upon years of experienceand the WEA collective bargaining agreement (available on the district website).
