Job Description

Overview

Clinical Nurse Specialist – General Paediatrics (Fixed‑term, 12‑month secondment). Provides parental leave cover within a full‑time, advanced practice specialty role. Key responsibilities include expert assessment, education, care navigation, and case management of children, young people, and whānau.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse Specialist is a key member of the multidisciplinary team, liaising with the wider medical, nursing, allied health, and community services to coordinate care spanning from acute hospital setting to community living.

Qualifications
  • Current NZ Nursing Registration and an annual practising certificate
  • Advanced clinical practice knowledge, with at least 4 years of acute paediatric experience
  • A commitment to bi‑culturalism in relation to the Treaty of Waitangi
  • Expert‑level Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP) portfolio
  • Postgraduate qualification (Master's degree desired)
