Medical Laboratory Technician - Cytogenetics
Job Description
Waikato Hospital – Permanent part time 20 hours per week. An exciting and challenging role within our Cytogenetics department. Learn and develop your skills in karyotyping and FISH processing.
Key Responsibilities- Processing of various samples for cytogenetic analysis.
- Maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Monitor and manage reagents and stock.
- Involvement in quality initiatives.
Contribute directly to patient care by providing fast, efficient laboratory service. Work within a tertiary hospital environment with a dedicated Haematology/Oncology service.
About You- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Quality focused with attention to detail.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Previous medical laboratory experience desirable.
- Must be registered, or eligible for registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand.
