Senior Project Manager - Contract

A confidential, multi-organisation initiative currently progressing a major Finance and Billing system from RFP through to full implementation. This is a complex, high‑visibility programme requiring genuine cross‑organisational leadership and not a single‑stakeholder delivery role.

This 6‑month contract sits at a critical stage. The project is moving from RFP into vendor selection and delivery. You’ll lead the implementation through to live operation, working across 5+ stakeholder organisations with differing priorities, governance models, and reporting lines. Weekly travel to Wellington is involved.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the project through vendor selection into full implementation
\n
• Establishing governance structures across multiple stakeholder groups
\n
• Driving planning, mobilisation and delivery
\n
• Managing vendor performance and delivery outcomes
\n
• Reporting clearly on status, risk, issues and dependencies
\n
• Aligning multiple organisations around a shared delivery outcome
\n

\n
• Valid NZ work rights
\n
• 10+ years delivering large‑scale technology projects
\n
• Proven enterprise system implementation experience – ERP (SAP, Oracle, etc.) or Financials or Billing systems highly regarded
\n
• Experience operating across complex, multi‑organisation environments
\n
• Strong senior executive stakeholder management
\n
• Comfortable bringing structure to ambiguous, unscoped environments
\n
• Solid governance, risk and issue management capability
\n

• Hybrid working (Tauranga or Wellington + WFH)
\n
• 6‑month initial contract with strong likelihood of extension
\n
• High‑impact, multi‑organisation programme, genuine career‑defining scope
\n
• Immediate start
\n
• Work directly with senior executives across multiple organisations
\n
