Datamine, a leader in data analytics for over 30 years, is seeking a candidate to join our Data Engineering/Ops team, to help monitor, maintain, and build data environments and APIs for our clients across diverse industries. You’ll also be involved in ensuring our internal tools support automation and efficiency, always looking for pragmatic ways to enhance and optimise.

\nAbout the role\n

We are looking for a highly motivated technical graduate or early career professional to join a team with the goal of delivering solutions that are scalable, streamlining future initiatives, and growing internal technical capability. As you will work on a variety of projects supporting internal and client ambitions, flexibility, and the willingness to learn must be a demonstrable skill you bring to the role.

\nWhat a day may look like:\n
    \n
  • Working in a project team to plan, build, test and roll out data-based solutions.
  • \n
  • Monitoring a Datamart to ensure, data is flowing as expected and we are delivering the daily reports to a large retailer.
  • \n
  • Solving a diverse range of client and internal problems to ensure technology runs smoothly
  • \n
  • Contributing your opinion and expertise into a solution
  • \n
  • Presenting to the business on the results of your project
  • \n
  • Implementing, testing, and releasing code
  • \n
  • Using Linux and Bash on a daily basis
  • \n
  • Pitching in at team meetings and contributing to the team achieving its goals
  • \n

  • Communicating with the Client Services team regarding progress on projects and any potential issues
  • \n
  • Working with your direct team, and the wider Datamine team to constantly learn and improve while getting constructive feedback along the way.

\nWhat you’ll bring\n
    \n
  • A University Degree: technology or data focused, such as Computer Science, Engineering
  • \n
  • Programming experience throughout your studies (and/or in the workplace), such as with SQL, Python, R etc.
  • \n
  • Practical work experience – part time while studying, holiday work, we are interested in anything you have done and what you have learned from it
  • \n
  • A Team-First Mindset: You enjoy supporting others, thrive on collaboration, and love celebrating shared successes.
