As an independent Crown entity, our role is critical to ensuring markets deliver for New Zealanders.Mō te tūranga | About the roleThis role will support the Chief Financial Officer to develop our strategy for procurement to deliver high quality advice and contract management services to the Commission.You'll be involved in: Leading and maintaining the Commission's procurement and contract management framework, ensuring policies, procedures, systems and practices reflect whole‐of‐life value, and effectively manage risk. Oversee internal and external procurement reporting, providing expert analysis, maintaining probity records, and ensuring all reporting obligations are met. Build organisational procurement, commercial and contract management capability, providing high‐quality advice, coaching, mentoring, and partnering with the Commercial Management Lead to strengthen supplier, contract and risk management.* Operate as a collaborative organisational leader, aligning behaviours and processes, modelling effective communication and decision‐making, and maintaining trusted relationships across the Commission and with external agencies.The salary band for this role is $134,039 to $157,693 plus 3.5% KiwiSaver employer contribution. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects their individual skills, experience, and internal relativities across the organisation.He kōrero mōu | About youWe're looking for someone who: Has demonstrated senior level experience in procurement, contract management or commercial advisory roles, ideally within the public sector or a complex organisational environment. A strong understanding of procurement frameworks, contract management practices and government sourcing principles, with the ability to provide trusted, practical advice and ensure compliance. Exceptional communication and influencing skills, building trusted relationships across diverse stakeholders and working collaboratively with commercial teams to support end‐to‐end outcomes.
