About this team

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced and motivated ITS Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Internal Technology Services (ITS) team. Working closely with the Infrastructure Manager, Infrastructure Analyst, project teams, security teams, vendors, and global technology teams, you will help ensure infrastructure services remain reliable, secure, and aligned with Deloitte's operational standards. You will also gain exposure to a broad range of technologies spanning networking, cloud, virtualisation, endpoint management, monitoring, backup, and infrastructure management platforms.

Job Description

Your typical day will include:

  • Supporting enterprise infrastructure environments across servers, networks, cloud platforms, virtualisation, and end-user technologies.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex infrastructure issues and technical escalations.
  • Leading infrastructure upgrades, technology rollouts, remediation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Working within ITSM frameworks, including incident, request, change, and problem management.
  • Supporting security, compliance, patching, vulnerability remediation, and audit-related activities.
  • Maintaining accurate technical documentation, procedures, standards, and operational records.
  • Performing root cause analysis and identifying opportunities to improve service reliability and performance.
  • Mentoring team members and providing technical guidance across infrastructure technologies.
  • Collaborating effectively with technical teams, project teams, vendors, global technology teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrating strong technical ownership, communication, problem-solving, and accountability.

Qualifications

Enough about us, let's talk about you. You are someone with:

  • Approximately 5+ years' experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, infrastructure support, or a related technical role.
  • Strong experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Demonstrated experience resolving complex infrastructure issues and technical escalations.
  • Experience leading infrastructure changes, upgrades, technology implementations, or improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working across networking, servers, virtualisation, endpoints, cloud platforms, backup solutions, monitoring, and infrastructure management tools.
  • Experience working within ITSM frameworks and operational support environments.
  • Experience supporting audit activities, compliance requirements, control attestations, or remediation initiatives.
  • Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other team members.
  • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure, networking, endpoint management, virtualisation, and cloud technologies.
  • Exposure to technologies such as Aruba, Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, VMware, Hyper-V, Windows, Linux, VDI, Intune, Active Directory/Entra ID, Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Experience with monitoring, backup management, certificate management, password management, automation, and infrastructure maintenance activities.
  • Relevant industry certifications are advantageous but not required; practical experience is equally valued.
