KingsWay School Teacher (Middle Years) Strengths in Music

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a permanent full-time KingsWay School Teacher with strengths in music, based primarily in our Middle Years (Years 7-10) on our Senior Campus, starting 28 January 2027. We are open to applications from candidates qualified to teach Years 1-8/10 or Years 7-13.

Located on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast of Auckland, KingsWay is a high achieving, growing, state integrated Christian school catering for Year 1-13 students, with a current roll of over 2000 students. About the job

This permanent, full-time role is based primarily in our Middle Years (Years 7-10) teaching music as a specialist subject. It also works with the Senior School Head of Faculty - Arts and Director of Co-Curricular Arts to contribute to our wider arts programme across the school.

Key responsibilities include:

• Effectively engaging with and teaching music to students in Years 7-10
• Contributing to academic process and achievement
• Relating well and being culturally responsive to a diverse range of students and staff
  

The successful applicant will:

• Be a registered teacher
• Have strengths in NZ curriculum knowledge in music
• Be a passionate, energetic educator able to embrace Middle Years philosophy
• Enjoy effectively partnering with parents
• Strengths in other subjects are advantageous

An important condition of employment is that applicants must have a willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the Special Christian Character of KingsWay School.
