The role: We're seeking an experienced and commercially minded Country Manager to lead our Food business across NewZealand. Reporting to the General Manager ANZ – Food & Pharmaceutical, you'll have full responsibility for the strategic direction, operational performance, commercial success, and people leadership of the NewZealand business.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities- Lead the strategic direction and execution of the NewZealand Food business
- Drive operational excellence across multiple laboratory teams and disciplines
- Own the NewZealand P&L, budgets, revenue growth, and profitability
- Lead and develop a high‑performing leadership team and build future capability
- Drive business development, client retention, and market growth initiatives
- Partner with ANZ and global teams to implement best practice and new technologies
- Champion digital transformation, automation, and continuous improvement
- Ensure excellence in quality, HSE, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness
- Build strong relationships with key customers, regulators, and industry bodies
- Identify investment opportunities and support long‑term business growth
- Significant leadership experience within laboratory operations or technical services
- Demonstrated success leading multi‑site or multidisciplinary teams
- Strong commercial acumen with full P&L management experience
- Proven ability to develop and execute business strategy
- Experience leading organisational change and continuous improvement
- Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and influencing capability
- Tertiary qualifications in Science, Food Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
