The role: We're seeking an experienced and commercially minded Country Manager to lead our Food business across NewZealand. Reporting to the General Manager ANZ – Food & Pharmaceutical, you'll have full responsibility for the strategic direction, operational performance, commercial success, and people leadership of the NewZealand business.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic direction and execution of the NewZealand Food business
  • Drive operational excellence across multiple laboratory teams and disciplines
  • Own the NewZealand P&L, budgets, revenue growth, and profitability
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing leadership team and build future capability
  • Drive business development, client retention, and market growth initiatives
  • Partner with ANZ and global teams to implement best practice and new technologies
  • Champion digital transformation, automation, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure excellence in quality, HSE, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness
  • Build strong relationships with key customers, regulators, and industry bodies
  • Identify investment opportunities and support long‑term business growth
Essential Qualifications
  • Significant leadership experience within laboratory operations or technical services
  • Demonstrated success leading multi‑site or multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong commercial acumen with full P&L management experience
  • Proven ability to develop and execute business strategy
  • Experience leading organisational change and continuous improvement
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, and influencing capability
  • Tertiary qualifications in Science, Food Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
