Job Description

Credit control in our organisation is inherently complex and sensitive due to the nature of the services we provide and the situations that the need for our services occurred.

We're now looking for someone to support our small credit control team on an 6-month fixed term contract basis. This role is less about traditional debt collection and more about empathetic, respectful customer engagement.

You'll be responsible for following up on outstanding ambulance service charges or other commercial products in a highvolume environment. Most interactions are completed by phone, supported by written communication or SMS.

This role would suit someone with strong callcentre or customer service experience, excellent communication skills, and a genuine people-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate customer credit records including payment histories and accounts status
  • Proactively follow up with customers on overdue payments and reduce aged debt
  • Escalate unresolved disputes and coordinate with billing, sales or service teams to reach resolution and facilitate payment
  • Contributing to credit control process improvements, policies and performance metrics.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in a highvolume collections environment (B2C preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A calm, respectful, and empathetic approach, even in sensitive situations
  • Confidence handling a wide range of customer conversations
  • Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • A teamoriented mindset and positive attitude
