Lead Clinician - Tupu Ora
Job Description
Permanent, full‑time role (1FTE) with a significant clinical component (0.2FTE lead clinical, 0.8FTE clinical). Open to applications from Mental Health Nurses and Allied Health professionals, Clinical Psychologists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Psychotherapists. The role operates Monday to Friday from 08:00‑04:30 (or 08:30‑17:00), based primarily at Greenlane clinical centre but may work across other services or locations as required.
About the Role\nYou will work in partnership with the Clinical Team Leader and Leadership Team to provide high‑quality evidence‑based clinical services to our service users. The position will be part of the Leadership Team, influencing decision‑making, representing the organisation professionally, and supporting team morale by demonstrating Te Toka Tumai values.
\nYou will be an experienced Mental Health Nurse or Allied Health professional with advanced clinical skills, strong knowledge of eating disorders and a recovery focus. You will collaborate with service users and their families and join an established supportive team of psychiatrists, nurses, allied health and clerical staff.
About the Team, Service & Location\nTupuOra is a regional specialist service providing assessment and treatment for children, adolescents and adults with eating disorders. It also offers consultation and liaison with community services and hospitals throughout the Metro Auckland and Northland region.
\nTupuOra’s continuum of services includes community/outpatient care, an intensive day programme and residential options. The community team provides specialist treatment to those presenting with moderate to severe eating disorders in both community and outpatient settings, and has separate child/adolescent and adult sub‑teams.
About You\n- \n
- A full and clean New Zealand driver licence is essential for this community‑based role. \n
- NZ Registered Health Professional with current APC. \n
- Minimum five years of experience in the relevant clinical environment, with at least 18 months in a designated senior clinical role. \n
- Knowledge of the mental health and addictions environment and contemporary issues within that field. \n
- Understanding of the implications of the Treaty of Waitangi and a commitment to biculturalism. \n
- Sound understanding of professional ethics. \n
- Membership of the relevant professional body and/or college (if available). \n
