An exciting opportunity to be part of and support the delivery of enrolment services for the 2026 General Election. If you are an energetic and experienced team leader, and open to making meaningful impact by supporting democracy, then we want to hear from you!

We are seeking a motivated and detail-focused Enrolment Team Lead to support the preparation and delivery of electoral campaigns.

\n

You will lead a team responsible for processing enrolment information and maintaining the accuracy of the electoral roll. You’ll play a key part in ensuring data integrity, supporting temporary workforce setup, and delivering high-quality enrolment services that underpin New Zealand’s democratic process.

\n

Working closely with the wider Enrolment team, you’ll help ensure operational objectives are met while fostering a positive, high‑performing team environment.

\n

This is a fixed term role until November 2026 and the salary is $72,480 per annum.

Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Manage Processing or QA teams, provide day‑to‑day guidance, and ensure work is completed accurately and to agreed standards.
  • \n
  • Support the setup of temporary teams, including onboarding, training, and contribute to achieving enrolment delivery plans.
  • \n
  • Oversee the compilation and maintenance of electoral roll data, ensuring compliance with legislation and national processes.
  • \n
  • Track team outputs, provide regular updates, and elevate any risks or issues in a timely, “no surprises” environment.
  • \n
  • Lead by example, support team development, and promote collaboration, inclusion, and political neutrality in all activities.

You are an experienced leader who enjoys motivating a team, you are comfortable in a fast‑paced environment and have excellent attention to detail and accuracy. You must be available to travel daily to Mt Eden, Auckland.

  • Experience in team leadership or supervision, ideally in an operational or processing environment.
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage data accurately and consistently.
  • \n
  • Good organisation and planning skills, with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
  • \n
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support and motivate a team.
  • \n
  • Confidence working with systems, processes, and data, including reporting and tracking progress.
  • \n
  • A commitment to integrity, political neutrality, and public service.
  • \n
